In this video, I share the lessons, challenges, and personal experiences of being a Women in Science conducting fieldwork in the context of resource limited settings in Low and Middle Income Countries. I had the honor to be in this panel led with Dr. Michelle Barry and two other Fogarty Alumni.

I particularly enjoy mentoring women across the scientific pipeline, and I am also the founding leader of Asociacion de Mujeres Caribeñas en la Ciencia. The first women-led association in this region of Colombia, devoted to promoting scientific careers among girls and early career future scholars.
